## Character asset

**RobotExpressive** — a low-poly cartoon robot distributed with the
[three.js](https://github.com/mrdoob/three.js) project as a glTF binary sample
asset, at `examples/models/gltf/RobotExpressive/RobotExpressive.glb`.

The copy used here is the local file `RobotExpressive.glb` supplied with this
project:

| | |
|---|---|
| File | `RobotExpressive.glb` |
| Size | 463,988 bytes |
| SHA-256 | `047f5e5fb3bb6d378bd1df16ca6137f2a596c99b3a1b5690b4020c05aaf6f319` |
| Status | **Unmodified.** Read-only in every script; never overwritten. |

The local file's contents corroborate the upstream asset: it contains the
`RobotArmature` skeleton, the 14 named character meshes, the three materials
(`Main`, `Grey`, `Black`), the 14 shipped actions, and exactly three facial
expression morph targets (`Angry`, `Surprised`, `Sad`) — matching the
modifications described in the upstream README quoted below.

**Summary of terms:** the model is released under
[CC0 1.0](https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/) (public domain
dedication). The original author asks that users consider supporting his
Patreon before using the model in a project — a request, not a license
condition.

- Original model author: **Tomás Laulhé** (Quaternius)
- Modifications (facial morph targets, FBX2GLTF conversion, material cleanup):
  **Don McCurdy**
- License: **CC0 1.0**

Verification status: **succeeded.** The statement above was retrieved from the
canonical upstream location during this task and is quoted in full rather than
summarised.

## Attribution of the work in this package

- The **character geometry, materials, skeleton and skin weights are not our
original work.** They are the CC0 RobotExpressive asset by Tomás Laulhé with
modifications by Don McCurdy, as above.
- This animation and package were **executed in Blender 5.2.1 LTS** in
headless background mode on macOS (arm64). Video encoding used FFmpeg 7.1.1.

## Redistribution note

Because the source asset is CC0, no license obligation attaches to the derived
animation, renders or exported meshes in this package. The attribution above is
provided as good practice and because the upstream author requests
consideration of support, not because CC0 requires it.
