LiFePO4 exhibit: manufacturing and assembly

The two size folders contain independent native recomputations of the same parametric design. Dimensions.LongestVector controls the display scale; marker and connector dimensions remain manufacturing dimensions. CellTemplate contains the reusable unit, with 28 named elemental markers and a open supporting frame. Assembly contains three removable trays, each with six native links to CellTemplate and fourteen locating pins.

The fractional origin is moved to the midpoint of the largest site-free interval on each axis before periodic wrapping. This is a declared periodic unit-cell convention, not displacement of the physical periodic sites. The orthogonal display axes follow source lattice vectors a, b and c. Source-site indices and element names are retained. The CSV gives the assembled centres in display coordinates.

Print each cell as one five-material object: PETG open frame and four coloured PETG marker materials. The supplied profile declares five independently controlled 0.4 mm extruders with firmware-compensated offsets; it requires a compatible five-material FDM printer, with nozzle parking/purging handled by that machine. It is not a single-nozzle MMU profile. PETG temperatures are nominal starting settings and require material-specific calibration. Do not print the coloured spheres separately: they are joined to vertical rods during the same build. The AMF and native 3MF projects retain their shared coordinate frame and material volumes. Do not use an import option that separates individual volumes into independently auto-centred objects. Use 0.4 mm nozzles, 0.2 mm layers and the supplied plate placement. Automatic removable supports are enabled for marker overhangs and the upper deck. Carefully remove temporary supports after cooling; preserve the permanent 2.4 mm rods and 1.2 mm decks. The open frame uses 1.2 mm bottom and top decks, four 10 mm square corner columns, and 2.4 mm vertical support rods. Markers retain exposed surfaces; transparent bulk material is not required.

Numbered BOM item 1 is the matrix (18 instances); items 2 through 5 are Li, Fe, P and O marker material volumes (72, 72, 72 and 288); item 6 is the locating pin (42). Each pin has diameter 3 mm and total length 10 mm. Blind mating holes have diameter 3.5 mm and depth 5.5 mm on each side, giving 0.25 mm nominal radial clearance and 1 mm total axial clearance. No press-fit interference is claimed.

Keep the cell axes consistent with the fabrication drawing. Join three cells along a and two along c to form one tray. Insert two pins per shared cell interface: eight pins at the four a interfaces and six at the three c interfaces, fourteen total. Make three identical trays. Locate the trays along b at the positions shown in the assembly. The nominal gap between tray faces is 0.25 mm. No connectors bridge those gaps. Support the exhibit on a level plinth; the loose locating pins register the blocks but are not tensile fasteners. The assembly is a stationary tabletop exhibit, not a load-bearing structure or a portable bonded monolith.

Remove the middle tray by supporting its six cells together and translating along positive a. Do not pull on individual frame blocks or markers. The middle_layer_removed.png shows the extracted tray generated from the native assembly. The two outer trays remain stationary. Every moving solid stays in the middle tray's b interval, strictly separated from the outer two intervals, so the complete continuous translation is collision-free. Reverse the translation to reinsert it.

The fabrication SVG and native editable parts define all connector dimensions. Inspect STL meshes and slicer project coordinates before manufacture; the geometric validation records nominal CAD feasibility, not a physical printing trial or measured material performance.
